[1.12.2] Fish's Undead Rising-1.5.2 Multiple Passive and Neutral mobs rarely spawn on-world gen, hostile mobs that don't need darkness to spawn will do so considerably more. Ravens only spawn at beach biomes bordering forests biomes.

Seems to be an issue with the newest version.

  1. Boot up FUR 1.5.2 for Minecraft 1.12.2
  2. Fly, teleport, walk around the map.
  3. Attempt to find a Raven in any of the biomes that should spawn them.
  4. You will only and rarely find seagulls at beaches.
  5. Even more rarely, ravens might spawn near beaches bordering any forest biome. But sometimes I find seagulls so there could be another bug making ravens spawn instead of seagulls at beaches.
  6. Of course, Ravens are no longer spawning at Taiga and Roofed/Dark Forest biomes.

I have no idea why this is happening.

Tested it once with like 230+ mods and then a second time with only FUR loaded in (no other mods), issue persists.

Went back to 1.5.1 Issue persists ONLY in Dark/Roofed Forests. But the bug of ravens occasionally spawning instead of seagulls is still there, rarely.

Only the regular Taiga biome spawns Ravens consistently in 1.5.1 FUR.

So, between 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 something went "wrong" and raven spawning was nearly completely broken. I have no idea since when did Ravens stop spawning at dark forests as I have not visited any of the raven spawn biomes for a while.

Current workaround I found for any fellow users: None. If you are not using [Wizardry - Necromancer's Delight], then downgrade to 1.5.1, as 1.5.2 was a bug fix for people using [Necromancer's delight] (I am not one of them).

Just tested this in a new instance, a fresh one, no mods ever installed in it, only installed FUR 1.5.2, the issue persists. Ravens are nowhere to be found except rarely, in beaches, probably a bug.

Also did the same testing for 1.5.1 and yes, Ravens are spawning in Taiga biomes but not on roofed/dark forests.

Was there a change in spawning behaviour from 1.4.x to 1.5.x?

For 1.5.2 in particular it might have to do with the getCanSpawnHere() changes that were done on this commit.

The only change is moving this line of code from EntityFishTameable to EntityRaven, and this shouldn't have changed anything.

Changing the spawning rule of Raven in commit 6d45807.
They should properly spawn in the roofed forest now.
