I am interested in whether I can use the mod for version 1.12.2 and somehow use it in the version for minecraft 1.16.5? Or maybe if you know how you could do that?
Unless you plan on getting your mod for version 1.16.5 and 1.17, respectively?

you cant do that due to changes they made so best you could do is to wait for them to update the mod to 1.16 which wont happen because 1.17 is already out and 1.18 is coming soon
