Planes from previous versions are incompatible.

When hovering over a plane in an inventory that is pre-2.4 the game will crash and when planes are placed they never appear.

Some sort of plane data conversion is needed to fix this.

Sorta fixed. Items revert to biplanes. Will that do?

People will not be happy about losing their lancasters etc.
