Suggestion-Separate different energy

Flux-Network is such a coooool and useful mod! I love it so much. But I think energy convert is a little bit imba and make everything too easy. I have a suggestion for it.

  1. Add an option to decide on/off the convert function. Let's call it "Convert mode" for now.
  2. Each network must be set a main energy type (RF EU...) when create. And it cant be changed after that. Also, the GUI will display with the main energy type (well this is the feature I want most :D right now it's just RF).
  3. If "Convert mode" is enabled: Every network device can still input/output any kind of energy.
  4. If "Convert mode" is disabled: Every network device can only input/output the main energy type. And if a storage cell change to another network with different energy. Clear the cell.

I think this is a quiet good idea. Because when I'm capable to build a network, normally I don't need to convert energy any more. And I think it's cool if I use different network with their own color to store and manage different energy. Right?

It's difficult as many mods consider Tesla / RF / Forge Energy, to be the same thing. i.e. all the blocks accept and give those energies and conversion would be 1 to 1, but then some would argue they should be separate etc. Perhaps though IC2 things could only transfer to other IC2 accepting blocks as the conversion from EU to RF is what more people think is to easy. Also Flux Networks is more end game, as Obsidian, Ender Eyes etc needed, so I don't think it converting is necessarily over powered at that stage in the game.

Yes I agree. It isn't that over powered. But it's really boring for me. I think that is also people who complain about converting feels. As right now I use separated network to store EU and RF. And many different ways to generate them. I just want the game more challenging. And build as many complex structures as I can. I'm happy with building and solving problem.
Well..Please dont think I'm here to discuss "How to play this game". And it's okay if Flux Network can't disable conversion feature. Like I said I can use separated network and this is a cool solution.
I just have one request. Would you please add other unit in the network GUI? Right now anything display in RF and that is kind strange. Thanks.

I've ran a poll on my discord server and people seem to be in favour of having an option to disable conversion. It may not be in the next version, but the plan is to allow one network to transfer all types of Energy and will only convert them if this is allowed in config / the user of the network wants to allow conversion.

Networks will also have an option to choose a default energy unit!
