Suggestion Description
While I know that anything like the original cross-mod content is unlikely, but are there plans to add a way to squeeze liquid force from force logs or additional liquid force from force gems? Or restore the flight ability, at least in some form, to the force armor?
I've never played with the original, I've done some basic testing but most of the functionality is undocumented so anything missing I either didn't know about or couldn't think of a way to implement it
I can't remember it that well myself.
But to get the most out of the mod it required other mods. Since those allowed you to get force ingots and liquid force easier. Like the Forestry squeezer squeezed force gems into 1.5 bucked of liquid force instead of 1. And force logs could be squeezed for 0.1 buckets. Though as I said, I understand that anything like this would be hard to implement.
Plus it added a whole lot of things before it was abandoned, mostly more stuff from LoZ like bombs and fairy fountains. The wing ability was dropped from the armor because people complained that the flight made the game too easy, even with the limitations I didn't remember existed. You can hear it's awkward replacement, the leaf from Super Mario 3, occasionally in one of the Yogscast series, I think Moonquest. Although they never used it, running would trigger the sound.
Here's the original forum post on it: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/1287878-dartcraft-beta-0-2-20, if you want to read it. Though I don't think everything was finished, and the description is a bit old.
For it's time is was a bit overpowered. Even the Force Engine, since the original view of Thermal Expansion was that you'd only need a few dynamos, at 40RF a tick, to power your entire base. It added things that are considered basic now, like upgradable chests. And one of the first portable crafting tables, which I understand you decided not to use.
