Since the addition of the Habitat Former the alveary components that regulate temperature and humidity have become obsolete pretty much. Not only does it save alveary space where you can use other components, such as the stabilizer and swarmer, but it is also cheaper to put down a habitat former and adjust the climate for a multitude of alvearies instead of a single one (i.e. I can have 16 alvearies with modest bees in a tundra biome with a single habitat former in its center).

Maybe buff the alveary components, introduce new ones that affect bees in other ways (or merge Binnie's alveary components into base forestry) or make the habitat former more expensive to use.
