I cant use snad with redstone power anymore can you make it back

Is this an actual feature of the old mod?

Not sure whether to say a feature or a bug but every other version of snad has responded to something like a 2-observer-clock by rapidly growing whatever's above it. Probably some kind of block update side effect.
