@mjwells2002 , Fabric maybe? 1.16.5 is still a popular version among players with an old graphics cards, that does not support OpenGL 3.2+.
The 1.17.1 version may work on 1.16.5 if you overrride the version check https://fabricmc.net/wiki/tutorial:dependency_overrides
I never tested it
