I think part of the reason why dromeosaurs miss their targets so much is because they jump six blocks into the air and overshoot the sleeping Dryosaurus in front of them

Velociraptors seem much more successful and alternate between RPR and biting. I just witnessed a Deinonychus launch itself 12 blocks into the air instead.
