Pterosaur flight overhaul

Give the Pterosaurs' flight more of a soaring effect by integrating a more elytra-like system.
Proposed Addistion
In the current version of the mod (9.1.6.0), the way that the two large pterosaurs don't present a very realistic version of their IRL flight styles. In the case of the Quetzalcoatlus and Pteranodon, one would expect to see some flapping to gain altitude, but afterwards, the majority of horizontal movement would be more of a glide, similar to how the elytra work in Minecraft. In the soaring state, the mob's wings stay relatively horizontal, only flapping shallowly every once and a while.
I am aware that this mod has tried its best to keep a theme of being realistic while also keeping with the Minecraft aesthetic. And don't get me wrong, it would be a full-blown nightmare trying to make enclosures for soaring pterosaurs. But with the addition of a more elytra-style flight mode, it would open up a whole new use case for the quetz as a transportation mount for exploring in the early game. I propose the following. When a player and the quetz take off initially, they use the WASD controls and camera direction to fly like they do now, but when they hit a button, say Ctrl, thus entering the "soaring" mode. In the soaring mode, the player only needs the camera to move the quetz around, just like the elytra (though possibly slower). When the player want to regain altitude, they use the WASD keys to get back into full control mode.
Alternatives:
If the above proves too taxing, a simple change I would like to be made would be to speed up the flight of the pterosaurs. These guys would be quite a bit faster in real life, and again more utility in exploration.
