
Rascal Spawning in My House Constantly

Currently playing on my personal modpack (Forge 1.19.2) and noticing a very frequent amount of Rascals spawning in my house, The only mod I have installed that affect Mineshaft structures is Yung's Better Mineshafts. My house is built at sea level (y=63) and they're spawning on my second floor max. Would it be possible to set a maximum y level in their spawn conditions? I know Goblin Traders has something like that in their config, but if they are supposed to also spawn in badlands mineshafts perhaps adding a biome check could help.

Hello, sadly your house probably matches all of the condition, even the mineshaft bounds, currently i dont have a better solution to make sure Rascal is spawned correctly in every case. I will be adding the Y level option to the config for 1.21.x, but since i do only bug fixes now for 1.19.x/1.20.x I will see if i will be able to add this in the next release for 1.19.x/1.20.x, no promises for now :).
Also these are the conditions:
- within mineshaft tag based structure
- and below y lvl of 63
- light level of 1 or higher
- not under open sky
- surrounding block must be in the planks tag
I am also having this same issue on version 1.20.1 on a slightly modified version of big chad guys cobblemon on fabric. IDK why they keep spawning in my base, but it's kinda weird. My base is at y 57. It started after I expanded the base that's it.
They spawn 1 to 3 at a time and stick around till I either do something about them or unload the chunk.
Yeah, its still an edge case, but i am not sure how to improve upon this and prevent spawns like that, any kind of ideas for conditions to try? It must be able to differ between legit spawns in the mineshaft and your house, i guess this problem is mostly with YUNGS mineshafts enabled, since they have big area going up to the surface.
I have a mega torch down, both the kind for passive and one for hostiles. There is a yungs mineshaft nearish, but not that close to cause this. It's not a spawner at all, if anything I do have a skeleton spawner in there along with villagers and a farm. It's made of mostly spruce and stone brick. They do not spawn on the surface for me, only in my basement of all things. We also have terralith installed, I'm settled in one of the more magical biomes. The only other thing that spawns down there is the cobblemon, but that's normal for the pack.
I'm willing to help ya figure it out if that's necessary so I can try to figure out conditions to help narrow it down. I make modpacks, so I get the problems with having to balance things and getting things to play nice.
