Infinite Backup Glitch?

Not sure if I should post this as an issue:
When you set the "backup_cron", to perform a backup to a time lower than the time it takes this mod to create a backup, it does not remove any backups, even if the amount of backups exceeds the "max_backups" amount.
In my case, I set the "backup_cron" to a 1 hour interval, but "oopsiewhoopsie", I misunderstood the cron notation, and it was actually a 1 minute interval (* * 0/1 instead of 0 0 0/1)
The time it takes for a backup was measured to be around 72 seconds.
When I checked on my backups folder it was ~148GB big, filled with 2.2GB worlds. "max_backups" was set to 5 at that time. Even my first backup was still there.
