If you take storage upgrades out (I tested with Netherite Upgrades), it usually stops you if the drawer can't hold what's already in it. I just did it with snowballs and was able to put the drawer in state where it had more than it should. I had a void upgrade in it, and adding a snowball manually voided all the excess. It's probably because snowballs stack to less than 64, if I'm guessing, but I thought it should be reported.
