Crash when 50 blocks away from frame machine

When I go about 50+ blocks away from the machine, there is a crash that appears to be caused by it trying to close the GUI of the inventory to the player. When it tries to see if the player is looking at the inventory it causes NPE.
The machine WAS LOADED WITH CHUNKLOADERS.
