So, randomly, the furnus just looses everything in its inventory, including all of its upgrades. They don't come back. There aren't any console errors.

When exactly does it happen? When you join the world?

It can happen when I'm not in the inventory, but it has happened when I'm in it too. I can't reproduce the issue, it just seems to happen randomly. The more speed upgrades I have, it seems, it can happen more often.

I'm having the same issue. One way that I can reliably reproduce the problem is by placing an acceleration wand (Not Enough Wands) in a Mechanical User (Extra Utilities 2) with 20 speed upgrades in it facing the Furnus (or Pulvus).

Furnus: 1.10.2-1.92
Forge: 1.10.2-12.18.3.2554

I've had the pulvus loose everything on several occasions, without any upgrades. One thing I've noticed is that the pulvus stayed "lit" even though it was empty. Breaking or reloading the game did not return the lost items.
However, I've also seen this happen once with a vanilla furnace once, so it may not be the mod itself.

Just had it happen with the furnus. It was "lit" while not working before it happened.
