In 0.2.10, there is a bug where the Smithing Table only allows tool/armor upgrades to occur if the input tool/armor is at max durability. Note that this bug is fixed by downgrading to 0.2.7. This bug occurs even when the only mods in the pack are Future MC and it's dependency.
