Initial implementation would have been to have a ready food source via these plants. Current plan will be to have them usable as a food source (pending idea), however later ideas may surface.

Perhaps I could make an implementation of that new food source in 1.14 where it is possible to combine items into a single source for various effects, though here it would have less effect than the Geode Drinks.
