[Plan] Honing

To make use of the gemstones and also expand on the idea of a Hack and Slash theme, make tools and weapons in Gaia have a Honing mechanic. Unlike Enchanting, Honing is done in a different method, and the type of Honed skill is based on what was used for Honing.
To start, the whole thing is a Multiblock Structure which fits in a 5x5 area. There are 7 blocks in a circle, representing a colour of the Chakra. The centre of the structure is where the honing is done. It will require a Primordial Spirit to power the structure and a coloured stone to hone the tool (TODO: Perhaps have 3 levels of Honing, where up to 3 skills are allowed?). Once Honed, a tool cannot be enchanted. TODO: Have some way to remove the Honed skills, maybe a new TE. Note that if a tool is enchanted, it cannot be Honed, this way it keeps balance in a tool's power.
There are 7 skills that can be Honed. Currently, there are plans mostly for weapons, however tools and armour may be considered. The following is what each colour represents:
Colour | Gemstone | Skill (Weapon) | Skill (Armour) | Unleash (Weapon) | Unleash (Armour) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cuprite | Fire Aspect | Fire Resistance | Sweeping fire attack | Fiery AoE wave |
Orange | Sunstone | Sharpness | ??? | Durability loss is negated temporarily | Temporary fire and electricity immunity |
Yellow | Citrine | ??? | ??? | Lower health increases damage output | AoE Tarred effect that stops enemies |
Green | Adventurine | ??? | ??? | Earthy eruption in front of user | Temporary Resistance and knockback Resistance |
Blue | Sodalite | ??? | ??? | Weakness, Slowness, and Poison on target (does not inflict poison if target is immune) | Full, temporary immunity to potion effects |
Purple | Charoite | ??? | ??? | Laser beam | Temporary Strength, Speed, and Regeneration |
Violet | Kunzite | ??? | ??? | Scatter wave that inflicts Bleeding | Create temporary Glass Construct. Destroys itself after some time |
Under certain circumstances, Honed tools may have their abilities Unleashed. Tools will have it activated when they next hit a living target, while Armour may be triggered by a keybind. The Unleash ability varies by tools and their honed abilities.
