Incompatibility with Advanced Rocketry

The newest v12 release on 1.12.2 somehow interferes with the resource loading of advanced rocketry causing the well known purple textures. If I revert to v11.1 it works again. to reproduce:
Forge version: 14.23.5.2855
Advanced Rocketry: 2.0.0-256
Libvulpes: 0.4.2-85
Grappling hook mod: v12
