I'd probably close this issue because it works perfectly fine in 1.18

I would very much love it if a 1.17.1 backport was made to whatever fix allows pehkui to work. I'm working on an immersive portals-gravity changer adventure map and would greatly appreciate being able to use pehkui as well without having to update everything and having to figure out which mods I can update and which I can't.

I'd probably close this issue because it works perfectly fine in 1.18

you cant break any blocks if you are in another gravity and are under 0.25 base scale although that more fits in #1
