LuV Diode in cleanroom only sends up to 8A. hammer to 16A and it only sends 8

Expected Behavior
Expect a hammered diode to respect the output you hammer it to. again, only 16A seems to be affected.
tricoder on the diode itself shows 16A but the wire on the other end only shows 8. (using a LuV superconductor, 32A wire)
