Can't configure covers, that are on an assembled Unvalkyrien Heavens ship

Expected Behavior
When trying to add a cover, or wrench a machine. I would expect to see the outlines to guide me.
Like this:
Or this, when using a screwdriver:

Actual Behavior
Instead I see nothing.

Now the pipes and cables can be configured still, but the outlines just don't show up.
But the covers cannot be configured with the screwdriver at all. If you try to right-click the side of the machine where the cover is, it just opens the machine GUI.
Steps to Reproduce
- Assemble a ship.
- Try to configure pipes, cables, covers, etc.
