Multi Machine Issues

Issue Title
The multi machine has issues with "Empty busses break it or some shit" and the book needs to be updated for the changes to mode C.
Expected Behavior
Empty buses shouldn't break it and the book should be right.
Current Behavior
They break it, and the book isn't right
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Have empty busses.
Context
making it not work for strange reasons
