Expected Behavior
This is the setup I am using to produce rubber ingots. The setup does not function as expected. I expect sulfur dust and rubber pulp to be exported from the steel crate and inserted into the high pressure steam alloy smelter, and I expect the resulting rubber ingots to be exported from the high pressure steam alloy smelter and inserted into the steel crate
Actual Behavior
Either the sulfur dust and rubber pulp are extracted from the steel crate and inserted into the high pressure steam alloy smelter while the rubber ingots are not extracted from the high pressure steam alloy smelter and inserted into the crate, OR the sulfur dust and rubber pulp are not extracted from the steel crate and inserted into the high pressure steam alloy smelter while the rubber ingots are extracted from the high pressure steam alloy smelter and inserted into the steel crate. The behaviour seems to be based on which conveyor was placed last
Steps to Reproduce
Construct the contraption in the above image. The high pressure steam alloy smelter is being supplied with steam by a high pressure steam solid boiler (not pictured). The item pipe is a small tin item pipe. The devices on the ends of the tin item pipe are low voltage conveyor covers with item filters
Additional Information
The issue can be worked around by having at least 2 sections of pipe and placing conveyors on different blocks of that item pipe section, so the behaviour is probably caused by a single block not being able to properly contain more than a single conveyor
I have tested this bug on a dedicated server running the GregTech Community Pack, and in singleplayer on a minimal installation with only the GregTech mod for 1.20.1. I have not tested this issue on 1.21+
Your other issue has been fixed, but this one is a bit of a weird one. For now, I would recommend trying to place covers on the machines themselves rather than the pipes, as that usually works better. If you hover over the machine (including crates), you'll see the same placement grid.
Ok so the behaviour is based on which section of the pipe was updated last. By disconnecting and reconnecting the pipe at the conveyor belts, you can alter the behaviour
