This appears to be an issue with data in old pattern buffers getting hit by the rewrites we did in 7.0.0.
Break and replace the pattern buffers as issues arise, and see if the issue persists please ๐
this still happens with newly placed me buffers.
tested in 7.0.2 and 7.1.0-SNAPSHOT-20250724.
they work fine after reconnect until the next restart
tested in 7.1.3 release with a new me buffer, still needs a reconnect on server restart to work.

I appreciate the verbosity of reporting each update, apologies if it feels like you're being ignored. I can assure you we're trying to resolve it, the pattern buffer is just a rather fickle block that has a lot of nuances to it that most other machine blocks do not.
As far as we know
- Works reliably in singleplayer (even after rejoining world)
- Disconnects on server restart (unsure if it's on server close or open)
Does this information match up? We'll try to address this before 7.2.0
Is there any other information or oddities you've observed @RaveMaker ?
I'll try to get this issue looked at here shortly and patched prior to 7.2.0.
That's correct, this only happens on server restart and doesn't happen in single player afaik.
other then that buffers seem to work fine without any issues.
thanks
Update: Happens in single player worlds as well.
