/grid servers doesn't work on servers

whenever i try to enter the grid command, it says: Unknown command. Type "/help" for help. The server is 1.20.1.

Grid is a client mod, it needs to be installed on the client. It does nothing on servers.

I downloaded this client side and it won't work while I'm in a server is what I mean.
