Server issue with heat source

In the server, the culture jar, cheese vat, and brewing kettle require fire to be a steady heat source. On singleplayer worlds it works just fine but on servers the indicator is flashing constantly and isn't steady at all, rendering the culture jar, cheese vat, and brewing kettle to be useless, placing a halt in progression in the mod
Which version are you using? Can you check the server and single player config files to confirm that they are the same?

Configs confirmed the same on both server and client.
If you place the skim milk in the culture jar while it is fully cold and then apply heat, the milk doesn't get converted. If you apply any amount of heat to the jar before adding the skim milk, it works. This behaviour is observed in both SP and MP.
In MP, the whole flame icon in the GUI flickers once it is full. In SP only the tips of the flames flicker.
