This issue happened when I was in creative mod with an iron sword in my main hand trying to hire a nitwit villager to become a guard villager while having Hero of the Village effected on myself in my modded 1.17.1 singleplayer world.

While I was affected with Hero of the Village I looked into a naturally spawned guard villager to remove his crossbow and gave him a iron sword and shield from a dead guard villager who died from hypoferremia (is it hypoferremia or hyperemia that an entity dies from getting too cold? Basically some of the naturally spawned guard villagers froze to death in a cold desert village which the cold desert village is from biomes O' Plenty 1.17.1 with the new powder snow block)

Thanks for fixing the problem but now I have a question.
How do I make a guard villager?
Why I ask that is cause whenever I have an iron sword in my main hand and right clicking a unemployed villager nothing happens...
Its happening in both survival mode and creative mode btw
