This is due to the new bookmark system. This is essentially a problem with Jei Utilities, not HEI. Jei Utilities patches JEI classes directly, and there was never any guarantee that they would not change at some point.

I know this, but right now my task was to report the incompatibility. Maybe you will migrate JEIU functionality to HEI, maybe not
