I don't know if this is still being supported but hopefully yes...
Searching with each key press can make the game lag a bit (mainly if the game just started or became inactive for a time), a cool config option would be where it searches the item only after you press Enter, meaning if HEI's prev search was "dirt" it will stay in there (if i clear the search bar and press enter, it will show all item as normal) then i type "chest", it will only show the results if i press Enter otherwise it just stay in the HEI's prev search aka the "dirt" one.

Are you using the ultra low memory mode? (check in configs)
