Sodium + Malum Crash

Reproduction Steps
Install malum and sodium
equip crude scythe
kill mob
crystal drops
client crash
Disabling "Use Vertex Array Objects" and "Use Compact Vertex Format" seems to solve the issue though the original crystals which caused the client crash still seem to be there and unable to be picked up but client no longer crashes.
a 3rd player crashed even with these options disabled. requiring them to outright remove sodium
