Is your feature request related to a problem?

Before the latest version, I had used pillar trims to create narrow trims between windows, or otherwise act as thin freestanding blocks. While I greatly appreciate the ability to place them horizontally now, I feel like forcing them to attach to a block removes a lot of the decorative utility that they used to have.
