I know you said you wont update to 1.8, will the same apply to 1.8.8? Will it stay to 1.7.10?

1.9 will most likely be out by the time HEE 2 is released, so I'll decide based on that. If it's not, I'll look into 1.8.8 which looks a bit better than 1.8, but no promises.
