How to disable Hardcore Mod and not loosing the Player.dat

I using HQM 4.4.2

I wrongly set the mode to hardcore on my Server due a update. Now i try to undoing this but without success.

  1. I try to delete the config and let them new generating (not works)
  2. I try to delete the hqm Quest File (not works give me an error and crash the Server because of the hqm Folder and Player.dat in the World Folder.
  3. If i am delete the hqm Folder in the World Folder all Quests players did all ready gone.(i dont want this)

How i can disabled hardcore mod and not loosing all Quests Player made?

A ingame disable function would make it so easy.
