I'd like to see a functionality added to the Command Giver mode that allows players to access the Hats GUI to choose between hats they have been given by players with access to the hats commands. This way, server admins can use hats as special prizes and such for server events, etc. and still allows players to choose which hat they where from the hats they have been given (rather than only what hat has been set for them).

Unfortunately this would require a lot more code on the server side part of things which honestly I can say I am not very keen on doing.

I had announced Hats "feature complete" several months ago, meaning I wouldn't be adding any more content/features to the mod as I would like to focus on other mods I have. The decision to move away from Techne's model system to Tabula's has obviously impacted Hats and prompted me to work on Hats again to adapt to Tabula's system, if not for that I wouldn't be working on this mod anymore than porting it.

Closing all issues as Hats has been rewritten from the ground up and the old mod for a long time now was no longer supported.. I'm sorry I wasn't able to address your issue. If you're still playing modded Minecraft, consider checking out Hats for 1.16.5+.
