regular furnace and brick furnace does not release soot, while electric furnace releases soot, steel furnace release lots of soot when powered by any means, arc furnace also releases ~10 soot when opening and none of them supports exhaust connection, why? how do i even power them safely.

what the heck is the soot? result of smelting items?
