Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I can't build the mod due to missing classes such as "PositionedStack" and I'm wondering where to put the "lib" folder with the dependency mods.

Okay so it appears you just make a folder named "lib" in the project root, as in the place where forge was installed and the place you run "gradlew" comammands in, and then you put the dependencies in that.
