onto the meat of the topic:

Could you add an option to replace the vanilla food gage?
I replaced the vanilla health gage with your mod as my server has custom health scaling and this keeps it clean; however now the HUD looks lopsided. since i have bits of food to the side lol.

I think my template was based off the Minecolonies one, so I can't take any credit for it. :)

A food bar is something I have worked on before. I can't remember why I never released it, it was working. I'll take another look at it.

An update on this? A plugin i am using will be using the hunger as a stamina system of sorts, so having a bar would be super nice :D
