REI being funky with the Akashic Record recipe

when viewing the Akashic Record recipe in REI for 1.19.2 it shows this weird tree view
My gut feeling is that because it can't find a normal recipe for it, it's just displaying the entire tag view.
Does something similar happen for other items without recipes? (Like bedrock)
it appears to be happening to all items (even craftable ones like wooden planks)
i dont know why it is showing all the tags though
