First Join Message Doesn't Handle Quotation Marks Well

Mod name: First Join Message
Singeplayer.
Messages with a quotation mark (even with a backslash) have their color reset as well as have anything after the quotation mark removed ONLY WHEN the game is reloaded or the in game config is accessed. When editing the message in a text editor everything works fine.
