When I sleep in the open block's sleeping bag it skips me to day without setting my spawn point but when I "wake up" I'm still tired.

My guess is that you are watching for the spawn point to be reset by a bed, and they are skipping that part in order to let players sleep on the road without messing up their spawn point. I could be wrong but I figure it's worth reporting since being able to use a sleeping bag would be so useful given the new sleep mechanics you introduce.
