[Suggestion] Customization of height calculation to better support world gen that increases mountain height

Hello!

I've been using this mod for quite some time and it's been fantastic. This is by far the best mod for realism in default Minecraft world gen. Currently I'm testing JJ Thunder to the max and the world height gets up to 1800+ on some mountain ranges along with longer day/night cycles. I'm attempting to go for as close to 1:1 for both world gen and time cycles as I can while still being playable. On survival this makes it a bit difficult because there isn't anything that can be done it seems like from an insulation standpoint at this height and within a matter of seconds, core temps drop below 94 degrees.

  • Modifying the insulation for 4 pieces to .25 has minimal impact.
  • I can't seem to find a way to customize biome height values

Is there a way to either customize the amount of time it takes to freeze to death with full insulated armor or make the height calculations less aggressive to increase survivability and realism with longer time cycles?

On a side note, so far all desert biomes or biomes with extreme heat work perfectly and have a fair amount of challenge (thirst mechanic is pretty amazing).

Let me look at this and see what I can come up with. I think the height scaling could be configurable without messing with anything. I'll report back sometime tomorrow with my findings.

Ok, I'm publishing a fix for this soon. I'm normalizing temperature adjustment for height based on the max build height. So this will work with any mod now, and will be the same temperature if you are at the max height regardless of what the height is. A side note: with this version, we also added Frost Resistance potion #88 , which should make traveling in very cold environments a bit easier.
