I hit the key and nothing happens, but the instant I make a movement in any direction, the hook fires. If already in motion, the hook fires on key press as normal. I have it bound to Mouse 4, if that matters (side thumb button on mouse).

I currently only check for the keybind when a key is pressed. In the next update I'll make it check on mouse presses too.

Hey, I highly doubt you're still working on this, or maybe anything, but it would be cool to see this implemented. If not, that's totally fine. Great mod.
