It seems that if I use the hookshot to grab on to anything moderately high up, click and hold, then let go, I can just...float in whatever direction I want horizontally, seemingly as far as I want. You can sprint or crouch, but cannot go up or down. Using the hookshot and releasing it drops you down.

I plan to just redo Hookshot at some point. A lot of its code is just terrible.
