Is this issue still relevant and does it still need a fix?

It doesn't look like any commit that addresses it has been pushed since the issue was opened so I would assume yes

Looks like there's only a few packs left with this interaction although some are still being updated, so whether its worth fixing (let alone 1.12.2) is a separate concern. Seems as though sometime between 1.5x and 1.9x+ interactions ditched hotornot. Whether there's mods besides randomthings that adds fire cancelling that may behave this way (cyclic amulets? potion buffs i.e. botania? etc) is a separate question.

I assume as there are only a few modpacks, it is not very relevant so we probably won't fix that.
If this problem occurs in 1.15+ we sure will try to fix that. Thank you anyway for your help!
