Hi i just installed this mod for my minecraft world and put it in my mods folder like any other mods would go and when I join my world it crashes.

I guess you have Xaero's Minimap? That mod has changed a bit internally and Hud Compass is now incompatible (until I fix it). The crash should disappear if you disable xaero's minimap integration
