It's more likely that I configured the dependencies incorrectly. Try adding playeranimator to your mods, that should solve it. I'm currently doing a general update to backport the latest changes made to the mod in recent versions of the game, as the old versions have several serious bugs.

A new version has just been released that should fix this.
