I would like to be able to configure the chance that hard rock has to decay at any given point. It'd also be nice to independently configure the hardening rate of soft rock.

Hard rock decay and soft rock hardening are done using the standard random block ticks that are used for growing plants, grass spreading, etc. At this point I have no plans to change that.

Would you be open to configuring the chance that it has to update at each block tick? I'd like to make it so that it decays a bit more slowly, thus incentivizing larger pit mines.
