Server can't keep up on death/respawn

Using the randomized spawn feature I am experiencing heavy tick lag around death: With other mods it occurs at the moment of death, freezing the world for several seconds where you can run around until the game catches up to you being dead.
With only Iberia there is still heavy tick lag on respawn
This is in singleplayer, with 4 GB of ram allocated.
In attached image you can see how it takes the server 9 seconds to catch up after a console command /kill with only iberia and forge.
