How exactly do i create refined iron there's no crafting recipe, tried putting iron in a furnace that just creates steel and there's no blast furnace

You play a modpack that enables the "SteelRecipes" config and turns all refined iron recipes into steel.
Check your config settings or addons if they enable that. Not a bug.
